Our mission is to create a platform that strengthens opposition voices, reawakens voter consciousness, and upholds democratic principles. Led by the visionary Otunba Segun Showunmi, we stand as a beacon of hope for a better Nigeria—one rooted in justice, fairness, and accountability.
Our Origin
Since the return of democracy in 1999, Nigeria has made significant political strides. However, voter apathy, blurred party ideologies, and rising political disillusionment have weakened the fabric of our democracy. The Alternative emerged as a response to these challenges—a movement to restore trust in governance, promote ideological clarity, and empower citizens to reclaim their role as active participants in the democratic process.
